Eye Camp in Igboland

Sight To The Blind, Inc. has been invited to come to Nigeria to conduct an Eye Camp and teach some of the newest in ophthalmology techniques to the ophthalmology residents at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, Anambra State, Nigeria by Dr. K.C. Okoye, Chairman.

We are currently recruiting the surgeons and nurses needed to conduct this project.

We are in need of sponsors who believe that it is important for us to perform free cataract and other surgeries that will help the poor and needy who are needlessly blind and also to teach Nigerian ophthalmologists and residents the newest in techniques so that they may help the people of Nigeria after the Eye Camp is completed.

The dates for the Eye Camp are February 7 through February 21, 1998.

For our team of approximately twelve people, we need airline tickets, hotel accommodations while in the city of arrival (probably Lagos), security, intraocular lens for implantation, medicines, and supplies.

We desire to see Nigeria achieve its unparalled potential as a nation and to help those who are needlessly blind. Truly we can reach our maximum potential if we come into unity and find ways to network and work together.

I am praying that you have contacts who share your love for Nigeria and would like to underwrite this project either by the making of cash contributions or donations of products or services. No donation is too small or too large.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please contact me. Rather than talking about the problems, let's talk about how WE can be part of the solution.
