It was then

In our land

A den

Of robbers

Murderers

Held sway

It was then

At our gates

Seven brave men

Rose

And did they rise

In defense of our way

A lone voice appeared

Shrill

As the night

All the people heard:

It was a voice in pain

A voice alone

It spoke to the depths

Of us

About the rest of us

About youth and the aged

About the future

And the unborn

No one dared

No one moved

None could

But seven brave men

Stood

As tall as the gates

That led into our town

They will be remembered

Surely

For ages and ages

To come

Seven brave men

Dared, defend

 Our way:

Of life
